Shusaku Arakawa, a Japanese artist based in New York, and his creative partner, poet Madeline Gins, developed a small apartment complex in the Tokyo suburb of Mitaka that is anything but comfortable and calming. The living space within these Lofts both prods and coaxes its residents to continue living and to help extend the resident's life span and quality of life.

The 'hotel box' concept is a brand new product to the market. Lilian Adler designed a shoe box which could be towed away when not in use, and put at display when requested. They come flat and their shape allows for easy flexible stacking. These are available in vivid prints and colors that contrast the interior and exterior.
